Recreational Gymnastics
Our recreational gymnastics classes cater to children aged 4-12 and aim to teach both basic and advanced gymnastics skills. The program focuses on developing physical literacy skills while learning new skills on various equipment. Our non-competitive classes are suitable for all children and offer a progressive journey through recreational gymnastics. Typical classes will involve strength, flexibility and stamina training on the Bar, Beam, Floor, & Vault as well as exercises on the Trampette and Tumbling/Air Track.
All abilities are welcome.
Session design
We work towards our club awards scheme, where children will have the opportunity per term to pass the level and receive a badge and certificate for their achievement. 1 session per half term there will be a class dedicated towards practising badge skills to help towards completing each level.
Each session gymnasts will start with a thorough warm-up and stretch, followed by structured activities on the floor and on the apparatus to improve both muscle strength and flexibility.
